I’m sorry but unfortunately, this is a pervasive issue. I was at an editorial board meeting for a journal a few years back and the HPB and surgical oncology crowd I sat with made disparaging remarks about acute care surgeons throughout dinner (yes, right in front of me 😒).
This was pretty predictable - no benefit of routine PCC in initial trauma resusc:

@SenBillCassidy re your comments to @CNN - all families deserve paid leave regardless of SES. I’m a fully employed surgeon at a large tertiary referral center and has no paid leave and no paid time off. My maternity leave was FMLA. I’m lucky I could afford this but this is wrong
