IT'S OFFICIAL. WE HAVE A NEW NAME. Ministry is dynamic. We see the "disabled" differently. No one wants to be known for what they cannot do. Our new name reflects a needed paradigm shift: "ADVENTIST POSSIBILITY MINISTRIES."

@djbtrim Possibility Ministries is not a "department" it is an initiative that is to impact all departments. AS in the past, the blind and the deaf and the paraplegic can teach others the power of faith. Possibility thinking is exactly what we need.

THE PERSON FIRST RULE is simply recognizing the person and then the disability if it is even necessary: Not "the deaf boy" but "the boy who is deaf" or "the girl who is blind." Simple things flow from a new understanding by not allowing a disability to define a person.

@OfficialASNA The 3 ‘C’s that helped motivate me in this Special Needs/Possibility Ministry (and still do) are: Conviction, Compassion, and Concern. Amazing how the same 3C’s is behind the global movement that is taking place.
