Year 3 had a visit from Dr Lindsay Bennet to talk about her job as a Meteorologist. It was very exciting and the children got to carry out some weather experiments! @AtmosSciencem @AMOF_Science@drlbennett
7.H briefly came off the eggs - possibly disturbed by an intruder. Is that a pip in the egg on the left? We would expect hatching to begin any time in the next few days 🐣 🤞🤞🤞 @UoLperegrine @UoL_Sus @PeopleofLeeds#leeds https://t.co/qRbsKsRCtl
Excellent Peregrine Club at lunchtime today, lots of new members! Join us at 1230-1330 tomorrow and Friday for more. People often ask me* how you become a member of Peregrine Club, so here’s a short thread in explanation 1/4 @UoLperegrine @UoL_Sus

The @AMOF_Science crew completed our new radar installation before the snow arrived - well done team!
The radar is mounted on a shipping container so it can be moved more easily for fieldwork, and the radome cover provides protection from the weather 🌨️
This week our @AMOF_Science team is installing the new @AtmosScience X-band radar at the Chilbolton Atmospheric Observatory.
Our specialised weather radar will help researchers to study clouds and precipitation - and collect evidence on how our weather and climate are changing.
We've had a special delivery at our Chilbolton Observatory this week.
But, what's inside?
We'll reveal all next week, when we unbox this new @AMOF_Science instrument.
