The School of Engineering & the Built Environment are donating some redundant machine shop equipment to the Scottish Railway Preservation Society. This equipment will be used to maintain the locomotives for many years to come.

'Our city can't change; we are not Amsterdam'
Well, neither was Amsterdam. It took bold choices and consistent effort to create the city you want to be.

The new @ScotRail Explorer Carriages mean that people who don’t, can’t or won’t drive places to explore our incredible country by bike can now do so. This tackles social inequality, levels of physical inactivity and carbon reduction in a fun oner! 📸 @SnappitysnapsP
70 Napier redundancies DO NOT include those 100+ staff on casualised contracts who may also lose their jobs. We need to fight for the HE sector and members jobs. #WhyNapierWhyNow Sign this 👉https://t.co/uns9DNidRD
Even with my many and obvious biases aside, I've not yet been convinced of the reasons given for *any* compulsory redundancies at this stage. Edinburgh Napier can afford to do better by their staff, by their students and the communities they serve. #WhyNapierWhyNow

@BCCletts It was first registered in 1971. I have the original receipt and V5. I'm the second owner. Yes...wearing a lid is a bit of a bind...but it does almost 30 mph. Ride is a bit sketchy due to front end being heavy. Great fun. Makes me laugh when I'm riding it 😂
Covid-19 will hit education hard.
We need universities and colleges - and the staff who make them what they are.
