@jammo2002uk@ukboomers@DaveSmith2019 I've got 4 double sockets and another one by the door. Rarely use 4 sockets but it's good to have them at hand not having to travel far
Me on #PoliticsLive: fuss re Kemi's toxic language is SO irritating from party that gave us Lucy Powell's dog whistle attack on mentioning grooming gangs, Lammy labelling Brexiteers as Nazis & nasty, ugly demonising of dissenters as far right/racist/ignorant gammon. Grrr

“The single decision Bridget Philipson made that has been most revealing.
“Eton and Star Academies wanted to open a great new free school in Middlesbrough to help more talented young people access the best universities - backed by funding from Eton.”
“When Bridget became Education Secretary she killed the project.”
Prejudice trumped social mobility.
The best striker on the planet eats like a Norwegian farmer from 1850, and the British tabloids called it "cannibalistic."
Erling Haaland, the six foot four machine breaking every scoring record in sight, has let the world see his plate, and it reads like a carnivore forum brought to life. He buys beef heart and liver from the butcher and eats them by choice. Fatty steaks, the fattier the better, by his own account. Sea bass, salmon, mackerel. Eggs on sourdough. Raw honey. And his self-described "magic potion," raw milk, which he drinks straight, stirs into his coffee and blends with greens to carry to training.
The sourcing is the entire philosophy. Holding up the organs in his documentary, he said most people will not touch them, but he cares about his body and about eating quality local food. Then the line that belongs on a barn door: people say meat is bad, but which meat? The stuff from McDonald's, or the local cow eating grass right over there?
Look at what is missing just as hard. No seed oils. No fizzy drinks. No alcohol. No ultra-processed anything. He filters his water and chases the morning sun. The man treats a packet of crisps the way most people treat a syringe.
Now the honest footnotes, because the internet lost its mind. The famous 6,000-calorie figure is one he flatly waves away, saying he does not count. His dad's lasagne is a sacred pre-match ritual, he makes brisket tacos in the slow cooker, and his actual favourite food is a kebab pizza he allows himself about once a year.
Strip away the cryo chamber and the mouth tape and the part underneath is almost insultingly simple. Whole food, mostly animal, sourced with care, nothing from a factory. The most lethal finisher in football runs on the exact diet the official guidance spent fifty years telling you to fear.
So...
We're not allowed to buy air conditioners for our houses to cool them in hot summer weather, because we don't have enough electricity to power them, because the solar panels and wind turbines we installed to stop the planet getting hot in summer, don't work when it's hot and windless in summer, so we'd need to burn gas, oil and coal instead to power the AC to cool our houses, but we blew up the oil, gas and coal power stations to stop the planet getting hot in summer, but it's still hot in summer.
But it's still ok to install heat pumps in winter, heat pumps which are also air conditioners and use the same amount of electricity or more, but we still won't have enough electricity to power them on cold, dark, windless winter evenings, because solar panels and wind turbines don't work then either, and we blew up the gas, oil and coal fired power stations because they were making the planet too hot in winter as well as summer.
Have I missed anything?

Benefit fraudsters are cutting deals with DWP.
Instead of getting up to 10yrs in prison, they can get fined half the amount they cheated from the system. It's capped at £5,000 and there's no need to admit guilt.
Labour can’t reform welfare. They can’t deliver savings. And they’re soft-touch on fraud.
They published the conversion therapy bill this morning. I’ve read all 20 pages so you don’t have to. It’s worse than the press release admits.
Doctors are protected; the bill carves them out.
Mums aren’t. There’s no equivalent line anywhere in it for a parent.
And “emotional pressure” is written in as something that can make your conduct “abusive.”
So a mum who urges her daughter to wait, to be at peace with her body, is left to a prosecutor’s view of whether that was abuse. She could get up to 5 years in prison.
It goes further. The police or your local council can ask a court to order you to stop, before any charge, before any offence, and even without you in the room to defend yourself. Breaking that order is itself a crime.
Hilary Cass was reassured doctors could keep working. Fine. Now show me the line that protects a mother.
There isn’t one.
It needs stopping.
🚨 NEW: The police officers who handcuffed Henry Nowak took 8 minutes to realise he had been stabbed
MALE POLICE OFFICER: I’m not sure he’s breathing.
FEMALE POLICE OFFICER: (Checks for pulse in neck)
MALE OFFICER: He's not breathing.
FEMALE OFFICER: Right let's get the handcuffs off.
MALE OFFICER: Let them know he's not breathing.
FEMALE OFFICER: Yeah. (Talks on police radio). From 4-8 we don’t think he’s breathing. Could we get another unit here please? Got no pulse.
MALE POLICE OFFICER: (Unlocks handcuffs). Medic or anything. ARV.
FEMALE OFFICER: (Talks on police radio). ARV towards [us] if we’ve got them with a defib.
MALE OFFICER: (Removes handcuffs)
MALE OFFICER: He’s not unconscious mate, he’s not breathing. (Continues chest compressions). Come on mate. That’s it, that’s it. Keep breathing. Come on. (Pauses briefly). No.
FEMALE OFFICER: No? Keep going.
MALE OFFICER: Come on mate. Stay with us.
FEMALE OFFICER: Yeah, that's it mate, come on.
MALE OFFICER: That’s it. Come on, take a breath. (Continues chest compressions). That’s it bro, I got you. Come on.
FEMALE OFFICER: (Talks on radio). Go ahead? Thank you. Do you wanna swap?
MALE OFFICER: No, I’m alright.
FEMALE OFFICER: Sure?
MALE OFFICER: Come on mate. Come on. That’s it. That’s it.
FEMALE OFFICER: Have you, can you put a torch … I just wanna make sure that he hasn’t been stabbed. Are you alright to hold it? Thank you.
FEMALE OFFICER 2: (Walks into view). Do you want me to do it? Here you are.
FEMALE OFFICER: Cheers mate. (Passes torch to female police officer). Right, they’re gonna want him down to skin level for defib.
FEMALE OFFICER 2: I’ve got some … oh SCAS are here.
FEMALE OFFICER: Have you got scissors? Grab some scissors.
MALE OFFICER: (Continues chest compressions). Come on mate. (Whispers). He’s fucking gone. He’s got blood coming out his nose. (Talks quietly). He’s fucking gone.
FEMALE OFFICER: Right, if you stretch that clothing for me. Stretch it out. Perfect. (Unseen gesture/cutting of clothing). There's a lot of blood.
MALE OFFICER: Has he been stabbed there?
FEMALE OFFICER: Yeah, he's got a stab... there's a mark there.
MALE OFFICER: That makes it worse. He's got a stab... I'm pushing on a fucking stab wound. (Sound of clothing being ripped)
FEMALE OFFICER: That's okay. It's fine. It's not... it's not coming out. It's fine. Keep going. Keep going. It's not bleeding out.
MALE OFFICER: (Continues chest compressions)
At this point, a paramedic arrives and takes over. The transcript ends at 23:46. Nowak was pronounced dead at the scene at 00:37
The Bank of England sabotaged my premiership with a surprise £40bn move just before the mini-budget. Watch my conversation with Jeremy Kyle here: https://t.co/a8XAbwx00U
@DrChrisParry@UKLabour Advancing through party ranks should be considered social mobility ? I mean there were dictators in Eastern europe who could not read or write due to missing school growing up. Party promotion is not success
This is the Education Secretary who taxed working parents paying for their disabled children to attend a special school.
Purely because she was ideologically opposed to parents who want to spend money on their children’s education.
That’s what we don’t like.
About half an hour ago this EMN was cancelled. There's been an increase of 1.7 GW in imports renonimated during the day for this evening
Assuming the demand forecast isn't way off (it can be) the grid should get through the evening
But to run this close in the summer is shocking and should prompt fresh thinking on system security
Beg borrow or steal isn't a strategy
