My people walked off the Cummeragunja Mission to arrive in Mooroopna in 1939 to resist colonial inclusion.
They didnt wait for colonial endorsement to make a Sovereign path for us. They paved the path by walking in accordance with our ancestors ways.
I am a product of that
As long as we are still here. There will always be conversations to be had. Some new some older. Just like we have kept on inspite 200 years plus ongoing cultural genocide.
First Nations are being short-changed in Labor's latest Basin Plan deal. While billions are spent delivering an extended plan, First Nations must share dwindling funding for water rights. Our Chair has co-authored a piece the @ConversationEDU

See plans they still singing
From strands connected
To sacred
Prisms..
That shine still
That shine still
Spoken in the stillness
Spoken they reveal
Gifts..
But first we must listen.
First we must listen..
The spirit is still living
Within rythyms
That could break down this prison of illusory systems..
But first we must listen
First we must listen..
To what ancestors still giving..

Sorry means you stop investing in the desecration and destruction of Sacred Indigenous Land.
Case in point the current 2 billion dollar Labour endorsed Coal Seam Gas Investment in the Beetaloo Basin.
@MerribekCouncil you have chosen to be on the right side of history.
But alas not without blood sweat + tears of all mob involved. These things seldomly just happen if at all without our peoples fierce advocacy.
But alas look forward to more of this
