Read this absolute horror story:
In June 2017, a minor girl accused Unnao BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar of rape, but the police refused to register an FIR. After months of inaction, in April 2018, the girl attempted suicide by self-immolation outside the CM’s residence, which finally forced the authorities to file the FIR.
Meanwhile, her father was arrested on false charges and reportedly assaulted in police custody; he later died in hospital due to his injuries. Public outrage followed. Even before any proper investigation had begun, a key witness in this mysterious custodial death was also found dead.
The case was eventually transferred to the CBI. The CBI concluded that the girl’s father died due to injuries inflicted in custody and that the assault was connected to an attempt to pressure and intimidate the victim’s family.
In July 2019, while the victim was travelling to court with her two aunts and lawyer, their car was hit by a truck, killing both her aunts and leaving the victim and the lawyer critically injured, an incident later treated as a deliberate attempt to silence witnesses.
In December 2019, Sengar was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment, but by then the victim’s family had already paid an irreparable price. The Unnao rape case had all the elements of an 80s–90s Bollywood villain plot: systemic intimidation, blatant abuse of power, and a trail of destruction that went far beyond the crime itself. But worse was still to come.
Yesterday, the Delhi High Court suspended the jail term and granted bail to Sengar. This is nothing but salt rubbed into the wounds of whatever little the victim’s family has left. An absolute disgrace. After everything they endured, this feels like the system mocking them. Shameful beyond words, and everyone should raise their voice against this.
The Quiet Gift of Having Children
Children don’t just change your life.
They soften it, steady it, and remind you what truly matters.
A child brings a kind of purpose nothing else can match.
Not the milestones, not the money, not the titles.
Just the simple truth that someone looks at you as their entire world.
They pull you out of your own worries.
They teach you patience, sacrifice, and joy in small things.
They make you slow down.
They make you grow up.
They make you better.
Their laughter resets a tired mind.
Their questions reopen parts of you that adulthood sealed shut.
Their trust forces you to rise to the version of yourself you always hoped you’d become.
And in a world that feels louder and more uncertain each year,
children anchor you.
They give you a future to shape, not just a present to survive.
Raising a child is not easy.
It never was for any generation.
But it has always been worth it.
Because at the end of your life, you won’t remember the deadlines or the arguments or the noise.
You’ll remember the little hand in yours.
The sleepy “goodnight.”
The moments when love was simple, honest, and complete.
That is the quiet gift of having children.
Al Falah University should be razed to the ground.
Saying they had no idea about terrorists on campus is worse. It means they are incapable of protecting innocent students from terror activity.
And therefore no right to exist.
Destroy all Al Falahs.
Ricin is one of the deadliest poisons known. Tasteless, odourless, you wouldn’t even realise if it was mixed into your food or water.
Meet Dr. Ahmed Mohiuddin Syed, an MBBS from China. Using his medical knowledge, he had been extracting ricin from castor seeds for a long time to carry out what would have been one of the biggest mass poisonings in the world by mixing it in water and likely temple prasad in Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Lucknow.
He, along with two others, Mohd. Suhel and Azad, was arrested by the Gujarat ATS. They were in contact with ISIS handlers through Telegram. They were also in contact with Pakistani handlers who were dropping weapons for them through drones.
Another reminder that we don’t thank our anti-terror agencies enough. Their job is like that of a goalkeeper: you are noticed not for how many goals you save, but only for the ones you fail to stop. We will never know how many terror plots our agencies have foiled in the last decade. It must be many. There are so many radicals who want to harm us all the time, and yet we’ve seen mostly peace in civilian areas over the past decade. Hats off, and gratitude.
Another year of paying an 8 figure tax, yet what I get - potholes & speed breakers which hit the underbelly of your car. It hits like a punch in the guts.
Our inner city roads and maintenance is probably the only interface with the govt. For the rest you depend on private players.
On an average, I deliver 30 babies a month. Each one is a mix of science, sweat, and silent prayers. People, especially startups talk of solving real world problems, I help bring a new human safely into the world, every single day. That’s as real as it gets.

When the Healer Falls: A Wake-Up Call for Doctors’ Heart Health
💔Yesterday morning brought heartbreaking news.
Dr. Gradlin Roy, a 39-year-old cardiac surgeon, collapsed during ward rounds. Colleagues fought valiantly-CPR, urgent angioplasty with stenting, intra-aortic balloon pump, even ECMO. But nothing could reverse the damage from a massive cardiac arrest due to a 100% left main artery blockage. My heartfelt condolences. Om Shanti🙏
His tragic death is not an isolated event. In recent years, India has witnessed several young doctors, often in their 30s and 40s, succumbing suddenly to heart attacks. The irony is stark: those who dedicate their lives to saving others’ hearts are often neglecting their own.
❓Why are doctors more prone to heart attacks?
Multiple risk factors uniquely affect the medical fraternity:
1. Long, erratic working hours → chronic sleep deprivation, circadian rhythm disruption.
2. High stress levels → decision fatigue, constant patient/family pressures, medicolegal worries.
3. Sedentary lifestyle → prolonged standing in the OT or prolonged sitting in the OPD but little aerobic exercise; missed workouts due to on-call duties.
4. Unhealthy eating patterns → irregular meals, hospital canteen food, frequent caffeine.
5. Neglect of preventive care → many doctors postpone their own health check-ups and ignore early warning signs.
6. Psychological burden → burnout, depression, and emotional exhaustion add to cardiovascular risk.
7. Higher incidence of smoking and alcohol abuse
✅What should doctors do to safeguard their own hearts?
1. Regular health check-ups: Annual screening for BP, lipids, diabetes, ECG, and stress test when indicated.
2. Prioritize sleep: Aim for at least 7 hours, even if in split cycles, and protect it as seriously as an OT slot.
3. Daily physical activity: Minimum 30 minutes of brisk walking, jogging, or cycling should be non-negotiable.
4. Mindful nutrition: Balanced meals, portion control, cut down on fried foods and excess sugar.
5. Stress management: Yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, or hobbies that recharge mental health.
6. Say no to tobacco and alcohol: Absolute essentials.
7. Build support systems: Peer networks and mental health check-ins to tackle burnout and depression.
8. Listen to your body: Do not ignore chest discomfort, unexplained fatigue, or shortness of breath.
9. Take breaks, go for vacations, spend time with family and friends.
10. Learn to say NO: If you are overworked, learn to say 'No'. Elective surgeries & procedures and OPD conusltations are not urgent- they can be scheduled for a later date.

Los Angeles police shot dead Gurpreet Singh, 35, after he stopped his car in the middle of an intersection and allegedly swung a machete at people.
Now compare this with India. Here, mobs can assault police, humiliate them into folding hands, circulate those images as “victory,” and still the state is branded intolerant or dictatorial.
The US, on the other hand, doesn’t hesitate, if you’re perceived as a threat, they shoot first. No debates, no optics, no mercy.
Pilgrims drowning at Puri beach during the annual Jagannath Yatra, sadly, isn’t rare, in 2022 alone, 12 lives were lost.
This year, however, an Indian business house quietly partnered with traditional Nolia lifeguards, modernised equipment, and fielded 450 of its own lifeguards, saving some 600 people and ensuring zero drownings.
They didn’t stop there: joining hands with ISKCON, they served 40–50 lakh free meals to pilgrims, and deployed 150 ‘swachhta’ volunteers to keep the shore clean.
Which group? You probably guessed it right : Adani. A name that often grabs headlines when there’s politically motivated or malicious criticism, yet whose steady, large-scale community service rarely finds the same spotlight.
Akash Deep’s 10 wickets led India to a big win over England in 2nd Test.
In a cricket-obsessed country like ours, where kids grow up dreaming of playing for India, you need to be exceptional to make it to the playing XI. It becomes much more difficult if you're from a state like Bihar, where sports infra is poor, visibility on national level is low, associations are corrupt or politically influenced.
That’s why his father, a govt school teacher in Sasaram, like many parents in the region, hoped his son would choose a stable govt job. But Akash instead chased his dream and finally earned his due after years of struggle in domestic cricket.
It was a tough journey, he lost both his father and elder brother within six months at age 18 and suddenly became the family’s main support. He balanced responsibilities and passion, and did justice to both.
Tough man. Inspiring journey. But his family’s challenges aren’t over yet. Today, he revealed his sister is battling cancer.
I see so many posts by people who got cured by Ayurveda and homeopathy. I dont see many posts by people saved by modern medicine. In cardiology alone, for example, thousands of lives are saved by emergency treatment of heart attack. Either they are thankless or have memory loss or they take it for granted. #MedTwitter
The only reason I believe in karma is because it helps me do good and be better every single day.
Else, for all practical purposes, life, sadly, is just random and unpredictable.

Every year, thousands of children in India are born with thalassemia major or sickle cell disease—lifelong, transfusion-dependent conditions.
And the tragic part?
Most of these cases are preventable.

What a speech!
Inspiring and reassuring. A new normal has been set - a bold doctrine of war, driven by clarity, courage, and consequence.
Thank you @narendramodi
Jai Hind.
For everyone who is disappointed that we didn’t finish Pakistan. I have only one question.
What exactly do you mean by “Finish Pakistan”? What do you expect to do?
Do you want to do a WW2 style Operation Sickle Cut, launch armored pincer movements, encircle Pakistani armies and annex Pakistan? Why on earth would you want to do that?
Do you want to add 300 million hostile people, some of whom already think blowing themselves up is their greatest purpose in life? How will you manage them?
Is that how you will finish Pakistan?
Or do you want to nuke them out of existence?
Because let me give you a reality check here. We won’t do that. We can’t do that. Indian citizens cannot morally contemplate, let alone sanction, nuking 300 million people. So that option is out.
Then Someone said, “Let’s split Pakistan into 5 countries”.
Now, Pakistan isn’t some Ikea Furniture that you can assemble or disassemble at your will. As hopeless they may be, they still have a functioning military and a working bureaucracy. They will do anything they can to keep the country together.
With all our might, with all our focus, we can exploit that Faultline, but it will take a lot of money and energy and 10-15 years. Are you ready to wait that long?
Some people said we should do a large-scale attack on all their air bases, military bases, Ports, Military HQ everything. Obliterate them out of existence.
Sounds nice if you are movie general.
In reality if we do that, Pakistan will launch nukes on Mumbai and Delhi. Simple. Because it will be their last resort and they will exercise it.
Obviously, we will retaliate and wipe them out of existence, but are ready to lose our 2 big cities and the lives of 20 million Indians as a price for taking out their military?
I don’t think so.
Finally, what is War? War is nothing but politics by other means. And War without objective is pointless.
Any battle launched should be with a purpose.
Our purpose in this strike was two-fold
1. Send a message to Pakistan that for every Indian your terrorist kills, we will kill 100 of your terrorists. We will take you out even if you are ensconced in the heart of your country. We will come after your terrorists like a wrath of God.
2. If Pakistan retaliates, not only can we handle them, but we will also hit and twist the knife if it comes to that.
We have achieved it. In fact, we have more than achieved it.
We have put the fear of God in the terrorists. Obviously, they will try again, but this time they know we will hit back.
And we have clearly shown Pakistan that we can penetrate wherever we want into Pakistan, while the maximum they can do is look up and shake their fists.
Some people also speak about India being diplomatically isolated.
In this entire exercise, if anyone has been isolated, it is Pakistan.
In the olden days, as soon as something bad from Pakistan happened, most countries used to descend on us, asking us to be restrained, calm, resilient etc.
This time not only did nobody speak, but they also allowed us three days of complete freedom of action where we stuck fear in the hearts of the Pakistani military.
So much so, they had to beg to us to stop.
In international diplomacy, no country will come out and say “Please attack someone else. We are with you” .
They will support you only when you are being attacked. The fact that nobody said anything when we attacked, is a diplomatic success in itself. Just that we don’t see it.
To summarize, as far as Operation Sindoor is concerned
1. We sent 200 jihadis to where they belong.
2. Took out 9 terrorist locations deep inside Pakistan
3. Attacked all major Pakistani Air bases, made a complete mockery of their air defence system.
4. Made them beg for us to stop. I mean if it is a wrestling match, the person who taps out first is the one who loses. Pakistan tapped out. Ergo, they lost.
5. Ensured Indus Water Treaty is now firmly in the dustbin.
6. Have given ourselves the freedom to attack Pakistan as soon as a Terrorist incident takes place.
If this is not a win for us, then I don’t know what is.
P:S: India wants to be an advanced country and has to provide for 80 crore people who are below the age of 30.
We have to focus on industrialization, technological self-sufficiency and agricultural modernization.
We have higher priorities than fighting pointless wars against a country who has nothing and can give nothing.
Here you have an airforce which pummelled the adversary into a state of complete shock.A mauling so comprehensive that a whole generation of PAF officers will carry deep scars on their psyche for decades to come.
From Nur Khan to Bholari , the message was loud and clear ; you can run but you cannot hide ! It was not a question of why but when ?
The pièce de résistance of the entire campaign emerged when Chad boys disabled Sargodha’s main runway and then mockingly flew above the airbase as PAF looked on bewildered.
And then to just rub it in , dropped a bunker buster on Kinara Hills to rub PAF’s nose into the ground. The nuclear bluff was called out so loudly that the reverberations were felt from Islamabad to DC. Halwa Atomi Bum !
The @IAF_MCC boys at Vayu Bhawan have a very twisted sense of humour which is colloquially called “Haramipan”.When Kinara was bombed one of the older faces in the Ops room gleamed knowingly. He could now hang his boots in peace knowing that ,
“An adversary that proudly calls itself the sole possessor of the Islamic Bomb and guardian of the Caliphate’s nuclear mecca was left devastated by the utter humiliation piled on it”.
This half burnt portrait of Asif Ali Zardari from the smouldering debris of Rahimyar Khan airbase is symbolic. It has in many ways given us a legacy which complements Pakistan’s surrender at Dhaka in equal measure.
Jai Hind ! Jai Hind Ke Sena !
