Last Republican who played education as successfully as Youngkin became mayor of Democrat-run Jersey City. His winning bumper sticker:
“The government spends $20,000 a year educating your kid. Couldn’t you do a better job with that money?”

364 days a year a powerful minority tells everyone what they are allowed to believe,do and say
And Election Day is the day the normal majority tells them they are crazy
School closures are "going to have long-term repercussions for our country. It’s really time that we change the emphasis & start investing in the children & funding the children & not funding the schools." - CSF President @dromfo on @FoxBusiness w/@DavidAsmanfox#schoolchoice
.@TheJuanWilliams Even as we go about improving the quality of schools, if you’re being left behind...& it takes us 5 or 10 years, that’s a lifetime for a child & it really sets that child back... And that’s why I think alternatives, choices are so important. #edpalooza
What’s it like to successfully and safely return #BackToSchool this year? Students, teachers, school officials, and parents share their personal stories ➡️ https://t.co/5pRSJVr80Q
"There exist stark divides between rich and poor, between white and black — and the teachers’ unions who refuse to go back to school are making those gaps worse...Their current policy is to inflict disproportionate pain on America’s struggling classes." https://t.co/5eotFvbUqw
When we pray, God expects that we also be mindful of those who do not think as we do, those who have slammed the door in our face, those whom we find it hard to forgive. Only prayer unlocks chains, only prayer paves the way to unity.
If “missing in action” means: traveling the country to meet with students and educators, talking with dozens of governors and local leaders, coordinating with the White House Coronavirus Task Force and CDC, and fighting for more funding for students.
We must do what’s best for students, and we must empower families to make the right decision for their needs and circumstances. We can get back to learning safely. We can and must rise above politics by putting kids first.
Students need to keep learning & parents need options. We can safely return to school & meet the needs of every student. Thankful to @realDonaldTrump for hosting today’s event & elevating the voices of parents, teachers & healthcare professionals committed to putting kids first.
