In the recent friendly match between the Netherlands and Algeria, the Dutch players appeared with a special pennant made from assembled LEGO pieces, replacing the traditional match pennant.
This was part of a collaboration between the KNVB (Dutch Football Association) and LEGO in preparation for the 2026 World Cup. The partnership, announced earlier in 2026 and running through at least EURO 2028, focuses on encouraging play, creativity and movement among children and football fans through shared initiatives.
As part of the campaign leading into the FIFA World Cup 2026, one million free orange LEGO bricks are being distributed across the Netherlands on June 3 at LEGO stores, Intertoys and Dreamland locations. Fans are invited to build items supporting the Oranje team and share their creations, with the activation tied to the #NEDALG event.

Patrick Ewing to the school of Chicago hard knocks, posterizing him in the most embarrassing way possible, in what was truly one of the greatest slam dunks in #ChicagoHistory.
Sam Sarver scored a stoppage-time game-winning goal for FC Dallas last night at San Jose. Beer cans were thrown onto the field and Sarver grabbed one off the ground and shotgunned it.

Gen X quote: “I blacked out on the 2nd loop and rode it 5 more times that day”
This was a monster of a ride, the fastest and tallest at the time. 7 inversions. It was big, mean and loud.
It was sadly taken down and no one bought it, which is sad as it was best ride there. I went on it 5 times in a row once in the 90’s on a slow day, we just kept running back on.
Supposedly it caused some people to have neck pain. I never experienced any. But young Gen X’ers didn’t let things like concussions stop them.
