@DarioCpx This is just upside down COVID and we're in March or Early April. There's no villains besides the obvious, but you're right about a cooking volatility bomb. Regardless, doesn't matter if you're right for the wrong reasons, you'll be right
@hankgreen@shellenberger Lol I feel the same way. Appalled that I once paid for this guy's substack! I think his poor brain got oneshotted by the Twitter Files.
@EliotJacobson where do all the fake Arctic sea ice claims even come from? do people just hijack the strong seasonality of the data to say 'sea ice has grown the last 30 years' by secretly comparing march 2025 with sep 1990? or do they cherry-pick some local subregion?
@WhiteTundraSG You can get bearish for other reasons if you'd like, just don't get bearish because we didn't draw.... from empty. Bad reason to get bearish
@ryankatzrosene@johnnyfreitag It IS maritime shipping, but not only maritime shipping. Remember the air quality at Beijing Olympics? East Asia has MASSIVELY improved their air quality in the last 25 years. It's global aerosols in aggregate, primarily sulfur, but others too, at 100 year lows
@stoitz@LeonSimons8@Ernestops78 Nothing specifically... It's just global warming. But global warming *with pollution* is the same END POINT as global warming "without pollution*. The pollution just causes the rate of change to slow. And a more horrible existence for everyone in the meantime
@LeonSimons8 The answer is so simple too.
Most of the weather of Europe first flows over the Atlantic. It's getting hotter and hotter because of less pollution.
And Europe has mega cut down on its own pollution every year since like the 90s.
Lot more heat flowing into the system here
@LeonSimons8@NASA@DrJamesEHansen@danmiller999@ClimateDad77@hausfath@rutgerbregman@gunnarmy It doesn't fit neatly into any narrative. It enrages and threatens some involved heavily with IPCC.
IMO and MARPOL and IPCC are all UN. Imagine the PR if nobody communicated with each about the impacts.
And everyone else pretends climate change doesn't exist. Or doesn't care.
@ZeynabDay@Mike_from_PA In the last 10 years:
Houston Metro went from $122/ft to $177/ft, +$55/ft
Natl Avg went from $127/ft to $237/ft, +$107/ft
Los Angeles Metro went from $401/ft to $688/ft, +$287/ft
Los Angeles -300k population
Houston +1000k population
Which area prices out locals?
@Empty_America I'm with you, but we need to stop advertisements through mail. It's ruining it.
And again, I'm with you, but Amtrak is just such a shitty service. As much as I support rail transit, it's just so bad that it feels awkward to support
@Empty_America Reese Witherspoon was legally blonde until her glow-up in 2014 where she became a woman in Wild. The pivot was around that time. But 10 years later, and the trend is in tact. In 30 years there will be no men further than 8 miles from a trailhead. Jerking n gaming n dayhikes only
@kaseyklimes In an effort to achieve equality, we focused on "closing the gender employment gap" for the last few decades. We're kinda achieving it now, women graduating college way more than men. Women are bringing home the bacon at a higher rate than ever.
@kaseyklimes Disagree with the premise of "fertility crisis" but it's kinda straightforward if you look into it. 1st drop comes from female literacy/female rights. 2nd drop comes from contraceptives proliferation. 3rd drop (current) comes from females entering the workforce
