Sooooo....we're now doing gastric POCUS for ALL GLP-1 agonist pts. And the results are...not pretty. It changes our mgmt frequently. Rather than rely on an arbitrary fasting time, a bedside test has been key. If you're new to this, check out this vid 👇

I assumed we'd focus on the miriad benefits of VL over DL... but we spent most time critiquing the proven benefits of VL

As well as “no trace, wrong place” we need to have in mind “poor trace, wrong place”

Or rather “lack of sustained exhaled capnography”

This may be as common as “flat trace”
