The Department of Pediatrics, AIIMS Jodhpur organized a Cystic Fibrosis Meet & Public awareness on 7 March 2026, bringing together 30+ children with CF with their parents from across Rajasthan.

The session focused on awareness about symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, nutrition, chest physiotherapy, and emerging therapies, while highlighting AIIMS Jodhpur’s growing role as a Center of Excellence for Rare diseases from @MoHFW_INDIA & regional referral centre providing comprehensive care to children with Cystic Fibrosis. Expert talks also highlighted government schemes including National Policy on Rare Diseases (NPRD 2021).

AIIMS Jodhpur celebrated its Second Research Day to promote innovation and research. Dr. Rajiv Bahl, DG, ICMR & Secretary DHR delivered a keynote address on enhancing research quality in India.

Executive Director Prof. G.D. Puri emphasized fostering a research culture, while Dr. Tanuj Kanchan presented the institution’s annual research achievements. Department of Paediatrics AIIMS Jodhpur, also a #CoERareDiseases, conducted the Cystic fibrosis (CF) meet on 2 March followed by a Pediatric Pulmonology Update on 3 March 2024. The CF meet was aimed to satisfy queries of the parents related to this #raredisease. About 35 patients and their families attended the CF meet. Around 60 delegates from various parts of India attended the pediatric pulmonology update to enrich their knowledge. Esteemed faculty Prof SK Kabra & Dr Kana Ram Jat from @aiims_newdelhi, Prof. Joseph Matthew from #PGIMER, Dr. Kamal Singhal #Lhmc, Dr Jagdish Goyal and Dr Prawin Kumar from #AIIMSJodhpur delivered their talks. @MoHFW_INDIA @CF_Foundation @WHO
