FLYING SQUID!! This amazing observation by user whale_nerd on @inaturalist shows the gliding capabilities of the neon flying squid (Omastrephes cylindraceus). Many species of flying squid can glide distances of 10-15m (33-50 ft) at up to 3m (10 ft) above the ocean’s surface!
