Desert country, soaked by recent rain along, the Finke - #sentinel2 satellite imagery from a few days ago. It would be great to see some of this country on the ground - may be time for a canoe down the Finke?
At 12.30pm today the sun will be exactly overhead #Darwin (sun's rays exactly 90⁰ to the ground) Buildup can feels like the sun is directly overhead most middays but today's exact subsolar point only happens 2x/yr. If it's not too cloudy your shadow will disappear briefly
