“The patients who ask the best questions often get the best outcomes.”
Instead of asking, “How long do I have?”, ask:
✅ What is the goal of my treatment?
✅ What side effects should I report immediately?
✅ Am I eligible for a clinical trial?
✅ Has my cancer undergone molecular testing?
✅ What can I do to help treatment work better?
Knowledge empowers patients. 🎗️

Great slides. My addition would be: “Know the biology before treating the disease.” Molecular stratification should be considered in metastatic pRCC to identify actionable alterations, hereditary syndromes, and trial opportunities. Most patients may still receive Cabozantinib ± immunotherapy, but precision medicine starts with molecular classification.
National Cancer Survivors’ Day 2026
Today we celebrate the courage, resilience, and hope of every cancer survivor.
“Cancer may have started the fight, but survivors continue to write the story of hope, strength, and life.”
To all survivors: You are seen. You are valued. You are celebrated. 💜

Together, we raised awareness, screened high-risk individuals, and encouraged tobacco users to quit.

🩺 Almost every oncology OPD hears this question:
“Doctor, can I take alternative medicine along with chemotherapy or immunotherapy?”
💡 Patients ask with hope. Doctors worry about safety.
👉 What do you think is the real risk?

The CRC brain drain is real—sites train, CROs/Pharma hire.

"Managing end-stage cancer with multi-organ failure is incredibly challenging, especially with families holding high expectations. Compassion fatigue is a real struggle. Thinking of my amazing colleagues today.

"Remarkably, a patient with advanced ovarian carcinoma & intestinal obstruction defied odds, surviving 5 years on TPN & palliative chemo. Now with liver mets & obstructive jaundice post-stenting, recovery seems elusive. How do we manage such complex cases in oncology?

@dr_yakupergun@ModernPathology I'm glad you found the information helpful for oncologists and oncopathologists. You're right; including Her2 mutations would enhance the discussion. It's an important aspect of understanding Her2 classification and management.
@SuyogCancer@Larvol@brunolarvol@OncoAlert@oncodaily @medicalwatchBC Happy to know about newer drugs to our basket of targeted therapy. 🤔How common do we come across NRG1 fusion abnormality in our cancer patients in India?
@SuyogCancer Impressive data in a limited-stage SCLC, but we come across it rarely in our practice. I am very happy to be part of this study as PI recruited two cases, one case did well for more than 3 years. Postprogression, reuses of platinum and etoposide + /- immunotherapy or topotecan
@venkymd MSD IS coming to India for a sale of pembrolizumab but not allowing India to be a part of global phase 3 trials. If they continue to market in India, DGCI make it mandatory for MSD to conduct phase 4 studies!
