@lumafield Have you considered using your scanner tech for surgical specimens? Seems like a useful adjunct to macro pathology grossing of specimens, which currently relies on ad hoc photos and verbose descriptions. Feel free to message me if we can chat further.

You can automatically remove messy gross specimen backgrounds with the PhotoRoom app by @photoroom_app

Black works well but you can choose any colour/shadow/outline

The findings are in keeping with Whipple disease (causative organism Tropheryma whipplei). Treatment commenced without waiting for a PCR result (which was nicely positive anyway but delayed due to the nearest lab performing it, Westmead, being in another state and batching tests)
