Chairman @NDDB_Coop & IIL, Dr Meenesh Shah (@ShahMeenesh) laid the foundation stone and performed ground breaking ceremony to set up a new vaccine plant at Karkapatla, Hyderabad of Indian Immunologicals Limited (IIL) in presence of Dr. K Anand Kumar, Managing Director, @indimmune_, Shri S Rajeev, Executive Director, NDDB, Dr. CP Devanand, MD, NDDB Dairy Services, Dr. Priyabrata Pattnaik (@pattnaik_p), Dy. MD, IIL, Sanjay Mehendale, Dr. Kinnera Murthy, Directors and senior officers. IIL is a wholly owned subsidiary of NDDB.
In his address on the occasion, Chairman, NDDB stated that this modern facility underscores NDDB and IIL’s dedication to the ‘One Health’ concept, which ensures the well-being of both humans and animals. He opined that the new facility will certainly aid in the eradication of Foot and Mouth Disease in our country.
Symbolising a #NewBeginning, the novel greenfield veterinary vaccines facility will manufacture the Foot and Mouth Disease vaccine as well as FMD+HS Vaccine in Hyderabad’s Genome Valley. With a commitment to innovation, this state-of-the-art biosafety level 3 facility will not only double IIL's FMD vaccine capacities but also drive the nation towards #Atmanirbharta in the field of vaccines.
