@Real_Ames Yeah, that would be a better use of his time than turning 10s of thousands of people who work for him into millionaires, producing EVs and robots, and building rockets that will allow human consciousness to persist in event of disasters of many sorts--think asteroids/dinosaurs.
@TheEXECUTlONER_ Very cool! I'm only 72, but I can do that. Twenty foot rope hanging from a tree in my yard. Multiple sets of pull-ups 3 times per week is the key.
@robkhenderson The 888 number is almost certainly low. Alexander the Great had 365 concubines. If you want the facts, start by reading Despotism and Differential Reproduction by Laura Betzig, then everything else she's written since.
@sweatystartup Primary care pediatrician here. The system is broken but there are a lot of good docs out there. We think.
Read my book. Chris Williamson did and he likes it.

@waitbutwhy Elon seems to be the exception. He's on record stating he's willing to fade away to make room for his children and grandchildren--and ours. Wise man.
Not that work done to improve health span isn't important. Nothing wrong with more heathy 90 year-olds helping their grandkids.
@waitbutwhy Reminds me of ancient Egypt's Pharaohs. They wanted to carry on forever too, but had a different approach: build pyramids and entomb slaves and harem girls to serve them forever.
@MarioNawfal Natural selection designed us to like sex, and to love and care for resulting children. Together, these have been enough to obviate the need for a burning, conscious desire to reproduce. We need to educate. People need to know that growing a family grows happiness. I'll start.
@sciencegirl We live as long as we do primarily to be helpful grandparents. Here's the full explanation and evidence, and advice on how to get there.

@TRUMP_ARMY_ . . . insurance companies are in business to make money, and they obviously wouldn't encourage doctors to vaccinate if vaccines caused more harm than good.
Harm means treatment and sometimes hospitalization, and both are costly to insurers
@TRUMP_ARMY_ Our pediatric practice favors vaccination, but we don't insist on it. We believe parents have the right to choose; therefore, we have many families that choose not to vaccinate, or get only some, so we don't meet measures to get insurance incentives.
But . . .
@Drunk_on_Books@PeakLab_ What you're missing is that hunter-gatherers had/have short life expectancies because of high infant and childhood mortality; once they made it to about age 20, they had/have a good chance of living another 50 years.
Two new podcasts discussing my book, Bringing UP Baby: An Evolutionary View of Pediatrics. One with Keshia Tognazzini , and another with Josh Mortensen .
