The U.S. needs a national strategy to revitalize the essential economy — that is, everything that is built, moved and fixed in this country. It’s the foundation of Americans’ daily lives, but it has been neglected for too long — and the cracks are showing. Today in the @washingtonpost, @WalterIsaacson and I lay out the realities of this crisis and the signs of progress being made.
In the 1950s and ‘60s, we looked to the stars to spark a national movement, with investments in science and math education. Today, let’s look to the earth — to the roads, the pipes and the buildings that make our lives possible. The country demands it. And the next generation deserves it.

10 point loss on the road to a superior team with an established head coach.
Brown isn’t good enough. Not sure we have better options.
Look at the schedule. Unfortunately, more losses are coming.
AUBURN FAMILY, THIS IS A @RhettHobart APPRECIATION TWEET.
Rhett is one of the best people in our AD and he’s being bullied simply because he actually responds. Let’s show him some love. #WarEagle
My 2 cents on the JHS in game production discussion: it was hard to hear the mic man and band over the dubstep/techno music. Anytime the fans tried to get a chant going you just heard lil John screaming "get out of your mind"
Auburn fans are awesome. The Auburn band is incredible. We've been doing those chants for decades. Just let the JHS crowd do their thing, they won't let you down. I understand wanting to try out the flashy new toys but it was a little much. The folks in charge of these things listened last week when it came to the crowd flow/congestion concerns. They got it fixed and I saw no issues on that front Saturday. Hopefully they will continue to listen to the Auburn family and make the necessary tweaks.
At the end of the day Auburn won so I had a good time. That's the reason I'm there. Get that win. But the conversation around the in game experience is valid and having an open discussion about it is a good thing.
Touched on Auburn's gameday atmosphere in this morning's Monday musings. There's been a whole lot of discussion on our message boards since Saturday...

Petition to Remove Ben Bruud as the Jordan Hare Stadium DJ:
Reasoning for Requested Removal
- Blasts unnecessary EDM Music that nobody wants to listen too
- Plays music over the band everytime the Band queues up
- Doesn’t play good music in general
- Recycles the same songs every game
- Music doesn’t get you hype and is very bland in creativity
- 3rd downs he just blasts random edm electro sounds instead of an actual good Sound effect (Ex. Purge Siren)
Like and Repost to get someone at Auburn University to see this 🙏
@paris_buchanan@AUFAMILY Thank you Paris. I texted my wife during the game that I may not want to buy season tix anymore because of all the "music" played before and during the game. Especially the techno / dubstepused between plays while AU is on defense.
@espn Stop with the political agenda please. I don't watch Gameday to hear Coach Saban push a bill and for sure don't want to hear a member of Congress talking. My family watches it to see stories about football.
