@Concernedf0rUSA@BennettWoodman rotating out of long bonds into bills IS the devaluation trade. you just described it perfectly and called it nothing lol
@BennettWoodman Mandatory Federal Spending in USA is about 100% of the maximum sustainable for Federal Revenue
Altogether, Federal Spending is 1.3X more than is available in Revenue
$7.4T (spending) v $5.6T (revenue)
With no end in sight
1) US will witness high inflation.
2) Many other countries would witness higher inflation, especially India.
3) Whenever there is high inflation, assets appreciate (eg. Stocks, Real Estate etc).
4) The only way to lower high inflation is to generate enough real growth.
5) Assets with highest growth potential get chased like crazy during periods of expected high inflation. Therefore, people are chasing AI since 2023 at least.
6) Interestingly, generating growth is the only way to lower the debt.
7) The government could technically collect more money in a growth phase (think: taxes). And could potentially use this to offset some of its debt.
This is the only HOPE.
8) Bottomline: the only way out of the current high debt is high growth.
9) Till then we keep printing money, assets keep going up, inflation keeps rising.
10) If your cost of living becomes unsustainable. At some point. You move to social security.
People who keep buying assets survive long enough to eventually see the growth take off at some point.
how we are yet to have a major ripping $stockcoin runner even when memecoins/stocks have been a trending narrative for the longest is beyond me
we already have about two memestock-3:native rippers but none for stockcoin - crazy
we are so due for a $stockcoin runner that will rip
zooming out, it might probably be a pair issue bringing into light the stockcoin tokens on Bnb and Robinhood rn (Sol’s stockcoin is cooked imo but then, anything can happen)
will be keeping tabs for now, dyor
@drumcryptochris@QuintenFrancois That's the whole point — 21 million cap, issuance halving every four years, no committee that can vote to print more. Fiat debasement is the feature Bitcoin was designed against, so 'brrr' just makes the fixed schedule look sharper. https://t.co/8vFOYQtzW8
Stanley Druckenmiller:
“Life goes in streaks. And like a hitter in baseball, sometimes a money manager is seeing the ball and sometimes they're not.”
“In my opinion, when you're cold, you should be trying for bunts.”
Good wisdom here.
🚨 BILLIONAIRE ARTHUR HAYES ON WHETHER BITCOIN HAS BOTTOMED:
"I think so. Obviously you could retrace a bit. There's a massive and very painful short squeeze for a lot of folks."
On what drove the move:
"The fundamental reason Bitcoin reacted the way it did is that it's now common knowledge that the US debt level is so high and so expensive that they're resorting to de facto yield curve control. That was the admission by Bessent that he had to conduct these upsized buybacks of the long end by funding it by issuing more bills at the short end."
His read on what it actually is:
"The market is like, 'Okay, great. We know what this is. This is Bank of Japan.' They might not call it yield curve control, they call it treasury buyback. There'll be some funky games, but at the end of the day it's money printing. Bitcoin and altcoins respond very well to central bank money printing."
I can still wait days for money to cross a border in 2025. My pizza gets here faster. The tech to fix this has existed for a decade, glad it's finally getting attention.
🚨Before entering the US gov, Scott Bessent said the world was approaching a “Bretton Woods realignment” and that he wanted to be part of it!
Now today he’s the U.S. Treasury Secretary, leading the G20 Finance Track as it backs digital assets AND improved cross-border payments.
He saw the monetary system changing. Now he’s helping shape what comes next and his views perfectly align with what $XRP, $LINK, $HBAR and $XLM are trying to achieve🔥
While you’re innocently betting college football in your DraftKings account…
You can now bet on price of bitcoin in the next *20min* or September’s CPI report.
We’ve reached a level of degeneracy that’s hard to fathom.
@WorldBankGroup that's not a jobs challenge, that's a free agency market. 1.2 billion young players up for grabs and smart countries are already scouting. I know where I'd be shopping.
My brother Jake Claver has one of the BOLDEST predictions in crypto:
ripple:native ABOVE $750 BEFORE 2027.
Crazy? Maybe to some.
But when you look at where global finance is heading, institutional adoption, regulatory clarity and the potential role of XRP in moving massive amounts of value, suddenly the impossible doesn’t look so impossible.
Do I believe $750 XRP is possible?
Yes. I fucking do. 🔥
@davistrazza personally my money's on tokenized payments on chain, not an ai lab doing its own billing. stripe has been called cooked before and is still here
@macropaperr this chart is why I'm in bitcoin. a decade of negative returns on the 'safe' asset and people still act surprised lol. money moves where it's treated best
bitcoin:native down 37% from all time high
$ETH down 50% from all time
$LINK down 77% from all time high
and people still prefer buying stocks at all-time highs
@AllenMo00588378@RobinhoodApp lol imagine waking up and $HOOD7 is trending. without real backing anyone can clone a ticker overnight, and honestly id bet someone's already trying it
