Do not take yourself too seriously. Laugh loudly.
Stay optimistic, accept rejection, learn from mistakes, work hard, forgive first, show up on time, fight against sense of entitlement, hold doors open a bit longer, and travel light without carrying resentment or bitterness.
This sentence by Dostoyevsky never fails to hit hard:
“You sensed that you should be following a different path, a more ambitious one, you felt that you were destined for other things but you had no idea how to achieve them and in your misery you began to hate everything around you.”
I regret to inform you that nobody cares about your potential. Potential is nothing without execution. When you're young, everyone cares about your potential. You get used to focusing on it. But as you get older, no one cares about your potential. Just your delivery against it.
