@calangst This is what happens when Geriatric practices (especially LTC practices) are compared in “quality” (read COST) to IM practices. Inherently these have higher cost/hospitalizations because of population they serve and get heavily $$$ penalized by Medicare which inc each year!!!

@AlexBardakh_LTC @AMDApaltc How about a 1) risk adjustment for the population we take care of like they do for ISNPs2) comparing us for MIPS to other doctors who have over 50% of Medicare charges of PALTC codes!!! These 2 will determine if any doctors can financially begin/continue to work in PALTC!!!
