New text, on the draft draft delegated act on non-public data access in @techpolicypress: it summarises the draft, points out what's good and explains why it still falls short in providing a solid foundation for risk governance https://t.co/PvPx1IVaE9
@al_hohlfeld created this overview over the risk reports - feel free to add information if you know about some of the missing reports

Inconsistent application of Article 40(12) of the #DSA is hindering researchers and civil society - especially during the 2024 EU elections π§
Platforms are creating admin hurdles and phasing out tools like #CrowdTangle, delaying access π°οΈ
You received data access based on a #DSA40 data access request but quality of the data received was lacking? We're putting together a working group of affected/interested parties to systematically evaluate data quality of existing research APIs. Join here: https://t.co/FkA2k8UxKb
Developed for researchers β
At least for now, it does not seem like it! π
Three reasons:
1) the data quality of TikTok's Research API is bad
2) researcher inquiries seem to not be responded to (at least we have been waiting for more than 2 weeks)
3) there is a 10-day data lag
We are at #ICA24 - find and check out our flyers if you are too! If aren't conferencing at the Gold Coast: on https://t.co/F2sH1Zmj8F you'll find information, reports, and a tracker where you can register your data applications to help us ensure better data access for everyone!
