A Principal friend said to me the most profound statement: “It’s really hard leading in public education if you want to do what’s best for children.” Let that sink in for a minute……
In my dream district, all administrators, no matter the title, would have to do a 1/2 year teaching sabbatical every 5 years. I’d set it up on a district rotation. Subbing in would be the teacher the admin is filling in for who would have been screened for leadership potential. Admin teaching the 1/2 year would still get admin salary. Teachers/APs/other admin stepping up for “admin internship” would receive a 1/2 year stipend on top of their salary so there’d be no expectations of salary after internship. Though the idea would be for the sub admin to get a full time admin position. This idea is copyrighted by me!
@kellygrillo I refuse to ever again pay tens of thousands of dollars and not able to get face time with the professor. I have two masters that were online 1 synchronous and 1 asynchronous. Hands down the zoom online experience was worth every penny! Can't say that about the other one.
No matter how talented or smart you are, there will always be something. A small speck on a glass window, most would overlook or just wipe away. But for us, that speck cracks the glass and shatters it, and we are left to clean up the pieces. https://t.co/3w2adAjdSo
@SecCardona Would love to be able to do something if someone in my child's class was positive, however they are not contact tracing so I'll never know if someone is positive. Good idea though. 👍🏾
