Update. 30min since catering was delivered to the plane. Still haven’t pulled back (no one excuses provided yet). Why wasn’t all this prep completed while waiting for catering. As an @Aeroplan elite frequent flyer, I find this very unacceptable. @AirCanada do better.

[Doug @dschier]

Seriously @AirCanada and @yulaeroport ? Two trips this week thru Montreal and both with extended delays due to catering! Will be planning future trips to avoid YUL from now on.

[Doug @dschier]

@TurkishAirlines FAIL
My first flight leg was delayed and I got to the gate 15min before departure time, gate closed, next flight tomorrow. Really sucks to see the flight sat at the gate and left 20min late!

@CityNewsVAN I’m all for internet safety and educating kids about dangers…but I don’t see the correlation between that and phones in school? If there’s a real reason behind this restriction then be clear & implement rules towards resolving that (student attention/interaction in classroom).

[Doug @dschier]

@McDonalds pls improve the advance order process. The fact it doesn’t place/start until we arrive at location (gps) defeats the point of pre-ordering. No faster than ordering in person. Every other fast food location has figured it out.

[Doug @dschier]

@PurolatorHelp why are you so incompetent? My last 4 “air” deliveries have all be put on a truck across the country…paying for overnight but getting 2 week delivery? Only response is that drivers don’t know how to read a manual waybill? #purolator

@CityNewsVAN Just saw 177.9 at Esso in Maple Ridge :( #insanity #gasprices

@richardzussman Still not change to travel policy? Single vax under 12 returning from travel with 2 neg tests and no symptoms still has to isolate for 14 days?? But pos test means isolate for only 5??

[Doug @dschier]

@richardzussman Any change to single vax, under 12 yr old isolation post travel? If it’s only 5 days after positive test, 10 days after travel with negative pcr test seems excessive.

Last night, Canada honoured me with a Governor General's Award and this video. I'm not crying. It's just maple syrup. @stevenpage is a friend and legend for wasting this amazing song on me. Thank you to Her Excellency, @GGCanada, Mary Simon. #GGAwards @CanadasNAC I'm a wreck.

[Doug @dschier]

@natasha367b @lizsauve @TELUS This is actually a different team. Sounds like there are actually a few that were coming back from tournament.

[Doug @dschier]

@WisdenMusic @ParksideBrewery Getting some better options out there now for Canadians but we’re still way behind. For craft here you can check out Red Racer, Partake, Village, Sober Carpenter, Big Drop. Also you can now get Athletic shipped up from US. There are actually quite a few good ones in the US now.

As public anxiety grows in light of women in Vancouver reporting they have been followed, Harken Coffee owner wants people to know his business can be a safe haven. He says people can order a 'non-fat Americano' and staff will know you need help. https://t.co/GjdIn3aDCs

I never know how to react when a grown man does the Carlton in front of me...

Man. Premier Brian Pallister made an emotional plea to residents to stay apart over the holidays, but also issued a warning: "If you don't think COVID is real, right now, you are an idiot."

@richardzussman Can we get clarity around what defines an activity vs sport? I've seen some activities announce they are staying open as they fall under sport even though they are on the list to shutdown (cheer, gymnastics, martial arts).

[George Takei @GeorgeTakei]

I confess. I have that odd feeling like I’m at the end of a horror film, and everything seems fine. It’s fine! The monster is destroyed. Right? RIght?!

And then...BOO!
