Hot take: It shouldn't be THIS hard to plan a career in security, you shouldn't need infographics to tell you what certification to get, what your next job might be, how to get promoted etc...
@stokfredrik@Hacker0x01 I love the way mirrors create space in rooms. From watching your videos I always thought you had 2 iMacs. Glad to see you’re a man after my own heart!
@thecybermentor Average person: either use a password manager or start using passphrases(I recommend song lyrics that are memorable to you)
Business: I just finished my sec+ and will relocate anywhere on the planet + loyalty + passion = hire me
@unfoldmybrain Yes it was meant to reach people, that’s what social media is for. But the person wasn’t antagonizing you by pointing out that you are different from others, they didn’t even make the claim that the differences were positive or negative, just that they were.
@unfoldmybrain Your “it simply doesn’t hurt...” response is something I would have looked at and thought “fair enough”, given the tone and rational with which it was delivered.
@Smo11ette @unfoldmybrain 1st reply was the mansplaining comment. 2nd reply was the societal comment. You said you agree, just wanted to clarify on which point you agree?
@unfoldmybrain But whoever wrote that tweet wasn’t talking about you. You’re an individual, they were referring to group majority traits. If you’re different that’s fine but why get upset about it? It’s not about you.
@unfoldmybrain What motivated me to reply initially wasn’t your second comment about societal roles(which is a topic worth discussing in and of itself) it was the content and tone of your ‘mansplaining’ comment. It is socially acceptable to make these kind of comments. That’s a problem.
@Smo11ette @unfoldmybrain Spoken as an individual. Yes it is nuanced, there are many women who are less empathetic/nurturing and more logical, just as there are many men who more e/n and less logical. But as a whole the majority of both genders lean one way. Do you agree with her first reply or second?
