Ex-Leave voter. Opposed to nihilism of no-deal and concomitant carnage, chaos and crises that it will bring. Remaining least worst option. #Remainernow.#FBPE.
@willis_macp An 'opportunity to develop its own players'? What does that mean? Hants players for GMR sides around the world? Apart from the debt issue, I don't see what benefit such a move will bring to Hants (my county).
@gajido_ian I think as we head towards national bankruptcy, with further tax increases inconceivable (given the tax burden) + spending cuts also inconceivable (given the decimated public services), we will pivot towards SM membership to recover tens of billions for GDP.
Govt to relax rules to let councils sell assets to fund frontline services.
Is there anything left?
Once youth/community centres, playgrounds, swimming pools, libraries are sold they are lost forever.
All part of the Tory plan to privatise everything.

@NicholasTyrone If I were the Tories, I wouldn't take any comfort from this. At by-elections, other parties tend to get squeezed as voters gravitate to the principal challenger. Also the new MP is only going to sit for the seat for a few months before it's abolished.
@andygmckay@tomhfh I think it's logical. Whoever wins is in for a few months anyway. All the polls seem to have them at broadly the level your party is polling at- without the party apparatus. As to by-elections, I doubt they'd get 10%, when most voters gravitate to the principal challenger.
@NicholasTyrone When we have a GE, it's usually the front runner who declines the debate(s) because he/she has everything to lose. If Starmer has a big poll lead going into the campaign, why would he allow for debate(s)- essentially being a hostage to fortune? Stay well clear.
@robfordmancs So for all Starmer's reforming of Labour, he musters just 0.5% more than Corbyn managed in 2017? If there is such a result, not sure how FPTP sustains if a party that gets 12% obtains 64 seats, but one that gets 10% secures zero seats.
@Luis_MR18 1-Labour wins landslide.
2-Khan beats Hall in London
3-Lib Dems beat Reform in share of popular vote, no Reform MPs.
4-Lab gains Brighton Pavilion (no Green MP)
5-Question of who gets back. Braverman elected leader if she holds F & W, otherwise Badenoch.
