I’m not sure if people realize how involved Terry Smith was in Penn State’s recruiting process. When I was a recruit I talked to him frequently, and that was as an OL (CB and OL are about as far apart as you could get)

@MarkMaddenX In CFB it is absolutely more beneficial to do it mid-season. More time to find your guy and understand the market. Every big name school (LSU, Florida, PSU) that has a coaching vacancy did not wait until the end of the season to fire their coach.
