Heroes come in many forms. We usually think of athletes as heroes for their prowess on fields of play. Jason Collins will forever live in our memory for his heroics in determining to live openly as a gay man in the @NBA, an unprecedented act. His journey thereafter was not easy, but he was a champion to many because he chose to live an authentic life and be a role model for so many.

May God welcome him home, and may his memory be a blessing.
