You don't want to miss this: we just dropped @Shopify's Spring ’26 Edition. 150+ updates! It's EVERYWHERE 😁
My faves are on 🧵 starting with Agentic Storefronts, a new section in the admin for full visibility and control.
Starting this week, millions of @Shopify merchants can sell in ChatGPT, into the US.
Their PDP, their checkout, their customizations, no extra setup.
AI is a new front door to commerce. Shopify is what’s behind it everywhere.
@Thom_K_NL@Shopify For both autocomplete and validation we now use our own dataset. Before we have Google for autocomplete and it would sometime conflict with our validation. We are working on getting data from postal agencies directly. We have some already but it can be improved.
@Shopify is building the world's best address validation & autocomplete system—free for all our merchants. This is the first major release toward that goal. So proud of the team for making it a reality. More countries coming soon! https://t.co/TIVmODgTvG
Long requested and finally here: copy Cart Metafields to the order at checkout completion! 🥳
Cart metafields are the greenpath storage option. I highly recommend switching from cart attributes and checkout metafields. If you’re staying on cart attributes or checkout metafields, what’s your blocker?
Recorded a fun podcast with Phillip and Brian at @futurecommerce about @Shopify's Winter '26 Edition.
We talk all things AI and how it's shaping commerce. We covered Sidekick as your co-founder, SimGym simulating shoppers, the changes in product discovery, structured data as the new SEO, and much more.

Great example of using @Shopify Advanced DOM API (https://t.co/23OJyCBzzI) in the checkout. Buyer DOM events sent via secure sandbox on separate thread—maintains performance while powering apps like @msftClarity
🚨Major Announcement🚨 We’re making it easier than ever for Shopify store owners to track every step of their #ecommerce funnel, starting today with Clarity’s newest integration with @Shopify! 🛍️
From tracking every step of the customer journey, to tracking critical checkout and thank you pages, this integration unlocks #ecommerce success by providing ecommerce specific metrics like:
🛒Checkout Abandonment: See where users are bouncing in the final stages of purchase.
👀Product Views: Identify your most (and least) engaging products.
🖱️Click-Through Rates: Understand how users move through your site and where they get stuck.
🔥Conversion Heatmaps: Visualize what actions lead to purchases.
Ready to give your #ecommerce experience a boost with Clarity’s Shopify integration?

@TRPage_dev@TRPage_dev a big difference with the @msftClarity app is they make use of @Shopify Advanced DOM api (https://t.co/zHi9u6A0Gc) which is not accessible in custom pixels. This allows DOM tracking on checkout (plus only), /thank-you page, Order Status page and Customer Accounts.

• Implement unified branded experiences
📈 Add app pixels
Ensure purchase events are captured:
• Measure conversion and post-purchase events
• Integrate with the Customer Privacy API
• Subscribe from a wide range of events
@TRPage_dev Hi @TRPage_dev - thanks for the feedback. The next email will specify the shops that have this online store>preferences integration enabled.
@hunkybill To clarify about the segment, we emailed all active shops that had the facebook and/or google analytics integration in online store>preferences enabled. Anyone that had the proper admin permission to modify that integration would have received an email.
@d_rbn@kalenjordan Circling back on order count for non-logged in buyers. We aren’t able to provide the count but we can provide a Boolean to indicate if it is the first order or not. Check out: data.checkout.order.customer.isFirstOrder on the checkout object for checkout_completed.
