@_Boba_Fettish Some sorta cliche but I fell in love with orchids as a house plant. They flower twice a year and are surprisingly hardy. And there are so many varieties to collect!
I love the smell of lavendar too, and a touch is good in shortbread too.

You kind of hit the nail on the head with "the only thing really restricting your access was your parents" if you finish up with "and their economic status, which neither you nor they may have had any say in." (I was born 1991, midlands, England)

My 12-year-old had appendicitis. The ER was overwhelmed with unvaccinated Covid patients and we had to wait 6+ hours. While waiting, his appendix ruptured and had to spend 5 days in hospital; just got hmo bill of $5000. So yeah, your decision to not vaccinate does affect others.

I'll be starting my third decade on this planet soon, and it's a little over a decade since I went off to uni, about seven years since I finished. A good time for a change I think. Getting set up for new work today.

Starting a new job in a little over two weeks' time, which was part of the impetus for this. I went to the office today to clear out the desk I haven't used for a year-and-a-half. Super surreal, but should be a good change!
