@T54321X@MAGACult2 National guard mostly helps with emergency response. But since Trump gutted FEMA we're probably just not going to have any emergency response anymore. So that doesn't leave the national guard much to do.
@justinc21@DJSnM Before Space X basically every rocket needed to be "fully operational" before it launched at all. Space X is still one of the only companies that will launch a rocket that they expect to blow up at some point in the launch.
@rainbowruff You have no idea how much it means to New Mexicans that you got ours right. I'm pretty sure like 70% of Americans don't even know New Mexico is a state.
@helldivers2 The average helldiver fires their gun three times and then dies, only killing one enemy every third death? Those Numbers don't seem right.
@aspectjoshASPG@OnePieceAnime Lol, the show didn't start getting dubbed until 5 years after it started releasing in Japan. It's a miracle they've caught up as close as they have, but they're still a couple YEARS behind. Idk how you can be 900+ episodes into the show and not know that.
@galopujacy_jez@lavie154 Is it legal to sell public domain content though? Like can I just create an archive of public domain content and then charge people for access?
@AprilMaebeNot@hankgreen India Pale Ale. It's a type of beer created by the British in India when they didn't have access to good ingredients that has somehow gone on to be 75% of all craft beers despite the fact that it was (and still is IMO) an inferior variety.
@Arvetis2@hankgreen There's definitely a heavy sampling bias so you can't use statistics from the general population, but yeah, there are probably still one or two oddballs who are generally pro-science except on this one issue.
@Pharmacistjudge@hankgreen@TolarianCollege Assuming they have health insurance there is a cap on the maximum amount they can be expected to pay (although that can still be a lot).
@MsGLouth@hankgreen Lol, "living in debt is not living at all"... Most people in the US are in debt pretty much their entire adult lives. If it's not medical debt it's student loans or mortgages. It's basically the American way.
@ameliaburgs@hankgreen I mean given that Jeff Bezos is arguably the most successful business man in history and also pretty much everyone hates him, I think it's probably exactly the opposite of what you were hoping.
@WenonaGardner24@hankgreen I'm like 99% sure there's little to no actual correlation between having a business degree and successfully running a business.
