On D-Day, the fate of the free world hung in the balance. Thousands of brave Americans advanced into chaos to save civilization. The tide turned because of their unshakable spirit. We stand forever grateful for these heroes. God bless them.
“ Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it.”- Unknown. You will never be forgotten !
Wishing everyone a meaningful and Happy #FlagDay today! With #Apollo11 anniversary right around the corner, I thought this was a great way to showcase our celebration of Old Glory as well as the ideas, principles and values that the Stars and Stripes represents. Also – wishing the @USArmy a Happy #Army250 birthday today as well!
On #DDay 1944, General Eisenhower said “the eyes of the world” were upon our Allied Fighting Forces. 81 years ago today, the Greatest Generation made its greatest mark in the fight against Nazi tyranny in Europe with the largest amphibious invasion in history. On #DDay 2025, we remember all our fighting men who took that beachhead, inch by inch, who bled and died and continued on to defeat Nazi Germany, liberate millions and Save the World for Freedom. God Bless Them All #DDay🇺🇸
Today marks the 80th anniversary of the raising of the American flag atop Mount Suribachi on the island of Iwo Jima. The enduring image captured by Joe Rosenthal stands as one of the most iconic photographs of all time. The story of American heroism at Iwo Jima may be well known, but I appreciate any opportunity to remember the sacrifice made in that grueling and bloody campaign. @USMC@USNavy Uncommon Valor was a Common Virtue indeed. #AProudSalute #Marines
Today we gather to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms. We owe them an indescribable debt. Today we honor the memories of those we have lost. #VVA#MemorialDay#Veterans#GoldStarFamilies
Hey, US women’s soccer team - this is how much we in America value the sacrifices our men & women in uniform have made. And why we salute the flag & put our hands over our hearts during the Nat’l anthem & SING when it plays - esp when we are representing the USA. DO BETTER.
