@FrozenApes@awfulannouncing A lot of the issue is that the Fox ones talk about other stuff--they don't stick to within the game, which is how I noticed the commentators to be on Telemundo, ITV and BBC in the UK, and TSN and CTV in Canada.
@molineux1519@awfulannouncing The broadcasts at the FIFA fan zones did exactly that--had no commentary and just the crowd noise. If they can do that there, I don't see why they couldn't provide a feed doing that as well.
@Typ_Speed@cajunzoobie@awfulannouncing I have been watching the BBC/ITV coverage of the games in England this week. Their commentators are a lot more similar to the Telemundo ones than the Fox ones. Their not as enthusiastic as on Telemundo, but their play by play description is more like that of Telemundo.
@DoubleJ69@bayshore999@awfulannouncing I am not sure if that is the case if watching on Fox affiliates as well, but I did notice ads for that type of programming on the Fox 4k feed, I think where local commercials would normally be.
@RudinEG Exactly. The English announcers seem to talk about everything but the game. The Telemundo announcers describe what is going on in the game really well. I also love their enthusiasm.
I have also watched games in the UK and Canada and the Fox announcers have been the worst.
@realKrasnikov At airports it seems like a scam. One still needs to declare items from duty free shops and pay duty if applicable at customs so goods often only seem duty free in the small area between the airport store and going through Customs.
@fiago7 The line was so long last time I flew through that terminal that I wondered whether one could go through security in another terminal where the line is usually less than five minute and take the bus meant for connections back to terminal b to depart.
@pvfreitaslopes@essediafoilouco I found it easy to get to and from the stadium in Philadelphia by subway. It was also really easy to get to and from the Vancouver stadium.
@SteveDavies365 I am often surprised about how difficult it can be to get around certain parts of Europe without a car. Certain parts have a car culture or are hard to get between just using transit.
