Thank you @ThreeUK for fixing the issue as soon as you can. I wondered if the company could offer a free month to compensate those of us who have been affected. I’ve been with 3 for over 15 years. It would be a small token rather than expensive compensation claims.

@snowflakestar_d @mark395625 @ASLEFunion Yeah we are in Newcastle bud. £15 an hour is considered a good wage here. I’m not a geordie though. Born in the midlands. Often when they have gone on strike, the bus company has just pulled buses from other depots while the strike goes on. The corporation has the cards.

@snowflakestar_d @mark395625 @ASLEFunion Well thank you bud. I’m sorry. I do know the training is hard. I’m scared of doing it to be honest. Psychometric tests. The Metro drivers were paid the same as bus drivers once but ASLEF changed that. Train drivers can bring the country to a standstill but bus drivers can’t.

@mark395625 @snowflakestar_d @ASLEFunion Well yeah, but as Maggie removed the powers of unions years ago. That’s going to be a big fight. Train drivers can bring the country to a standstill as they are on tracks but bus drivers and hotel staff can’t, neither can a lot of other occupations. Corporations have the cards.

@obioneyouknowme @snowflakestar_d @ASLEFunion Mm. I find that hard to be honest. I’ve looked but it’s a closed shop. I don’t want to offend train drivers. I just hope they realise how lucky they are. There will be stress they deal with that I don’t know about. We have randomness. Traffic, pedestrians and customers.

@mark395625 @snowflakestar_d @ASLEFunion I think what we need to focus our attention on here is the fact that good honest pay is hard to find. Rather than having a go at each other. I’m personally sorry if I’ve offended the train drivers here. They are an easy target. I suppose I hope they realise how lucky they are.

@lateturn @jjbiggsy @snowflakestar_d @KymriskaDraken @ASLEFunion That’s not entirely the full story bud. If we go on strike, the management pull buses from other depots to do the service. It’s almost like, “you go on strike, knock yourselves out, we’ll carry on and deal with you later”. So we don’t have the same leverage like yourselves.
