We're not training AI anymore. We're teaching It.
I find it fascinating that we are now designing learning curriculum for these systems to become more poweful.
I wrote a quick overview of modern training methods on my blog here https://t.co/N30L5wbjKZ
How would you teach an AI a skill? How would you grade it? How would you reward it?
We will be building learning playgrounds for these systems to experiment and explore with new skills constantly. Right now, this is a dataset. Eventually, a simulator.
[tl;dr] I'll be in Paris for most of July -- let's hang! 🇫🇷
If you or someone cool you know is interested in AI, be it through robots or agents, I'd love to meet up -- coffee, apéro, a walk-and-talk, you name it.
DM me if you're around!
I'm thrilled to announce that Claryo, Inc. has been named a 2025 Technology Pioneer by @wef .
We're just beginning to unlock what's possible when intelligence meets the physical world, and I'm excited for the road ahead.
Stay tuned for more news soon!
Robots should work for people, and not the other way around. To learn more about how we're helping manufacturing and logistics businesses scale, check out @WIRED’s conversation with one of our founders, Rodney Brooks. https://t.co/WXz2HoDevl
If you are interested in graph neural networks, I made a quick Colab tutorial on performing graph classification with #PyTorch Geometric & @PyTorchLightnin, and then explaining the predictions with GNNExplainer and/or Captum.

Good moment to remind y’all to read @jrappaz@pirroh@cervisiarius’ paper on latent collaboration structures in the last instance of r/place https://t.co/pVojpVAv3G. Looking forward to the followup!
The first day of @Reddit's /r/Place experiment.
/r/Place is a 1000x1000 pixel square. Every Redditor can place a single colored pixel every 5 minutes. Here's what resulted over a 24 hour period.

@ClementDelangue "The Messy Middle" by @scottbelsky is chock full of bite-sized, great advice. Aimed at founders but many applicable to employees to, especially early ones. https://t.co/Bn6XvAsrV7
@IcareAerospace Curious why international rail is 8x more efficient that local rail? Is it energy source UK vs France? Where does the grid switchover occur? ⚡️
@jack_kelly@AvilaGarcez Another direction is the composable, modular networks, eg Jakob Andreas’ work and a few other attention approaches. Another fun one, more in factor graph world, is the top-down/bottom-up reasoning that and-or graphs offer (thanks to @mohamedramer for teaching me about these)
@jack_kelly Yoshua Bengio makes a version of this argument in his “System 2 deep learning” talks (see NeurIPS’19 https://t.co/LAr87vhxq3 or earlier slides like https://t.co/hmWEu9rEZL). Of course there is also lots of work in neurosymbolic AI (see @AvilaGarcez et al).
