This is insane to me. KBR specifically chose to quote the 96% perfect-use statistic without mentioning that withdrawal is only ~78% effective with typical use. And they’re putting that choice in the hands of an 18yo, newly sexually active girl who was a virgin before recently being raped.
For authors who pride themselves on tackling real-world, heavy issues and presenting themselves as supporting women, why wouldn’t you use this storyline to model informed sexual health instead of cherry-picking the most flattering statistic for one of the least reliable methods in typical use?

yk what i would even excuse/tolerate just overall or vague talk about the sex lives of the siblings but them having this in depth talk about sex with their SIBLINGS. asking for tips on blowjobs or asking if they enjoyed sex or telling if they came or not is just plain weird.
