@RobAnon As others have noted, you can fix this easily by using the Assumed Par Value Method. Your lawyer or accountant should be able to help you. Your LLM could probably get you most of the way there too, but I'd just double check things.
Congrats to @harshavramesh and @cdeshpande17 for officially launching and announcing Pillar's financing with a16z! Proud to be a part of their journey!
The world is fragmenting.
Supply chains are shifting.
Volatility is no longer cyclical - it’s structural.
Yet most businesses still manage risk on spreadsheets and phone calls. In a world of tariffs, wars, and supply shocks - that doesn't hold up. Markets move too fast.
Today we’re publicly launching Pillar, and announcing an additional $20m in investment, led by @a16z.
Pillar is an AI copilot for commodity and currency hedging - built for real world operators like you.
We monitor your physical exposures and manage risk in real time - protecting your margins at all times.
If you operate a physical business, let’s talk!
@StockTr22398551@davinshotchi @sauvignonne @providenceluvr Accounting is definitely dull, but I don't know any accountants who are unemployed. I didn't end up in accounting either, FWIW, but I think a quantitative major in business is better than a soft major.
@davinshotchi @sauvignonne @providenceluvr Good stuff! I also got an accounting degree, and it has been useful even if I'm not practicing accounting. Best of luck!
@davinshotchi @sauvignonne @providenceluvr If it's not too late, consider switching your major into Finance / Economics / Accounting. If you get another year, it gives you another year to find a sweet internship as discussed in here.
The first thing you do in a position like that is relax. That’s all that was. I don’t blame anybody and I’m not upset. Misinterpretations happen.
I forgive you.
