It was a privilege to visit Somaliland children receiving life-saving heart surgery in Israel and to witness firsthand care and treatment being provided to them. The courage, resilience, and smiles of these young children serve as a powerful reminder of the value of hope and the profound importance of saving human lives.

I extend my sincere gratitude to the doctors, medical professionals, and all those whose humanitarian efforts have made it possible for these Somaliland children to receive the treatment they need. My thoughts and prayers are with the children and their families. I pray for their full recovery, good health, and a bright future.

Defense Minister Israel Katz met with visiting Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi and revealed that Israel and Somaliland have been cooperating quietly for years.
“For many years, we cooperated under the radar in a series of operations that will remain classified,” Katz said.
He added that the two sides are now determined to take their security cooperation to “new heights” for the benefit of both peoples and regional stability.

We were received with full ceremonial honors and a Guard of Honour, marking a defining moment that opens a new chapter in our bilateral relations.

I am grateful to the Speaker of the Knesset for welcoming us with such warmth and dignity.
