@bphillipsonMP It’d be like a government price gouging at the pumps earn millions a day from the struggling families which was never budgeted for and could easily reduce the level of tax and still recoup the same
@KevinCraigUK@UKLabour@andyburnham Standing on the edge looking over, can’t borrow anymore as you’ve maxed out the credit cards, spending way above our means, sending so much money abroad which we can’t afford instead of paying down debt, economically illiterate would be an understatement
@TrisOsborneMP It certainly doesn’t explain how we won’t be reliant on gas for a very long time, how you intend to store all the energy required to keep the lights on during winter and it certainly doesn’t explain how if you were able to get the infrastructure in place how’s it paid for
@TrisOsborneMP The problem is we will never decouple from gas, as we don’t have the infrastructure to store enough energy and never will, so we will be forever dependent on foreign energy sources at larger costs as we have to import in the dirtiest form of transportation
@TrisOsborneMP And yourselves, please don’t think for 1 second we’re blind to this government’s disastrous campaign to go net zero, which by every expert in the industry is stating why we have the highest bills in the industrialised world, surely even you can see the links
@TortosaExpat@Ijblade@Jenny_1884 The last collapse lasted 2-3 years and longer before banks started getting back to anything to previous levels, it’s a pipe dream that houses will drop so significantly that people will then be able to afford homes
@TortosaExpat@Ijblade@Jenny_1884 I think you may need to do some research on this, have a look back at the last collapse, banks shut up shop, they’ll do exactly the same now, forget about the misery inflicted on ordinary people, a collapse will make it infinitely harder to buy, cash buyers will be in heaven
@TortosaExpat@Ijblade@Jenny_1884 So you’ve invested in your main asset as lots of people do, this then enables them to move forward in life pushing up to a house they & their family would like to live in, it’s what drives the market, take that out of equation and the it collapses and makes it even harder to buy
@TortosaExpat@Ijblade@Jenny_1884 This is another area extremely screwed, but this is the simplest part of the issue, they can when they want change things overnight virtually, so seems strange it’s not been changed after 3 years
@tonypatt2000 Quick question, who’s paying for this socialist dream, country on the verge of bankruptcy, Labour have borrowed so much we’re on the brink & looking over the edge
@TortosaExpat@Ijblade@Jenny_1884 Unfortunately it’s being seen up and down the country, successive governments this one mostly though have made catastrophic decisions that have impacted the whole chain, landlords selling up by tens of thousands of houses, vat, staff costs, building materials increase etc
@TortosaExpat@Ijblade@Jenny_1884 Why aren’t building companies producing on huge scales if it’s as easy as build them people will live in them in the most densely populated part of the uk with the largest numbers of people homeless, unemployed & on waiting lists. This picture is mirrored across the country
@TortosaExpat@Ijblade@Jenny_1884 Desirable areas is exactly my point, people will buy there for quality, good location, great schools builders dream, London house prices dropping due to high cost, no demand, councils aren’t snapping these up for social housing, Khan busted over lies about building targets
@TortosaExpat@Ijblade@Jenny_1884 House builders will simply stop building, we’re currently seeing this trend across the building sector already, Labour are massively behind in their original target due to this, companies are not charities are like all businesses have set margins
@TortosaExpat@Ijblade@Jenny_1884 What an amazing way at looking at life, just build them, people will live in them, again who pays for these thousands of homes that no one can afford, they’ve just had to launch another ridiculous scheme to get people into these houses, 50 yr mortgages being introduced 50 years🤣
