If only one party is compatible with democracy, then democracy is already dead.

Also, by making the claim that "either my party wins or it's not democracy" implies that you and your party are autocratic. This is so because democracy implies in the capacity for the tolerance of opposition.

Now, if democrats and the European center left want to win they just have to do the inverse of this authoritarian ideological radicalism and try to understand their citizens' concerns instead, which they have been failing to do for many years now.
