Congratulations to Josiane Mujawayezu, a Farmer Service Center (FSC) supported by #SHORANEZA Project, for being named the Best Exhibitor in the Youth and Women Category in #RwandaAgriShow2026, concluded today. Josiane won a trophy and a top prize of RWF 5 million.

Supported by Shora Neza project funded by @MastercardFdn and implemented by @WFP_Rwanda_CD in collaboration with @Duhamic1, inovatively, she produces the vermicompost using earthworms.

In the closure of 19th Agri-show edition, her company "Amazing Insect Ltd" was awarded as an innovative Company to address the compost issues. @RwandaAgri

Today, members of @Duhamic1 visited young farmers supported by #SERVE Project in @rulindodistrict and @GakenkeDistrict Districts to learn from their experiences and observe progress in Chili, French beans production and poultry farming.

The visit strengthened shared learning, accountability and commitment to empower youth through sustainable livelihood and job creation.

On 26 June 2026, @Duhamic1 , @YWCARwanda and @PactWorld /ACHIEVE celebrated the ACHIEVE Project's achievements in Nyarugenge and Kicukiro Districts.

Partners reviewed key results, captured lessons learned and the project's legacy and discussed the official handover of activities to districts and health facilities to sustain health initiatives.

Staff were also awarded with certificates of appreciation for their outstanding performance and dedication.

Following the rehabilitation of Mushishito Marshland, members of the CODUMU Cooperative are optimistic about achieving a good harvest after cultivating 47 hectares of improved bean varieties during Season B 2026.

To strengthen resilience to climate change, farmers adopted Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) practices, including organic compost application, conservation agriculture, mulching, and integrated pest management.

The marshland rehabilitation was carried out through a project implemented by @RefugeesRwanda Rwanda in partnership with @Duhamic1 and @RwandaEmergency , with the support from the Government of Denmark @DKinRwanda.

Happened Today!

DUHAMIC-ADRI launched the "Develop and Piloting of the Climate-Smart Agriculture Models" in Rutsiro District under the #SFEREProject : Sustainable Forestry and Efficient Renewable Energy for Improved Livelihoods.

The project will be implemented in partnership with the Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency (@LuxDevHQ).

On Friday, 12 June 2026, in Musanze, DUMAMIC-ADRI organized the public awareness campaign on climate change mitigation and the use of clean cooking energy.

The Mayor Nsengimana Claudien, @NsengClaudien , reiterated the importance of clean cooking energy to the health and economic development of @MusanzeDistrict citizens.

Participants were entertained by the artist @RidermanRiderzo who has urged the community the importance of environmental protection for today in for better future generation.

This campaign was organized through a partnership between @Duhamic1 and @IOMRwanda under a project funded by the Government of Japan and implemented in collaboration with @REMA_Rwanda .

On Thursday, 4th June 2026, at GS Muhoza 1 , @Duhamic1 and @IOMRwanda organized a campaign on "Enhancing Adaptation and Mitigation Capacities to Climate Change and Extreme Weather Events in Rwanda,"

It brough together students from GS Muhoza 1 and GS Muhoza 2 and attended by staff from IOM Rwanda and Kayiranga Theobald the Vice Moyor in Charge of Social Affairs of Musanze District.

During this event, one member of school environmental club was awarded with a clean cooking gaz cylender, as a result of his initiative of making peletes from school waste.

The project is implemented by DUHAMIC-ADRI in partnership with IOM Rwanda and Rwanda Environment Management Authority @REMA_Rwanda , with funds from the Government of Japan.
