This is what politicians and social media influencers have normalised across Libya by portraying migrants, refugees and asylum seekers as threats.

How can a grown man repeatedly punching a woman with all his strength ever be justified?

This happened today in Tripoli, where a Libyan man brutally assaulted a migrant woman who was simply standing by the roadside.

Migrant women are not safe in Libya. Not only they are raped and forced into prostitution but they are brutalised by random men without ever facing consequences.
