Every day they are going to destroyed buildings and clearing dust and rubble with their bare hands so that families can move back in before the winter months.

The occupation has only allowed in a total of 115 “fuel and energy trucks” (meaning diesel, cooking gas, and gasoline), a fraction of the 1,100 trucks that were promised to be allowed in during this period of time post “ceasefire.” These items are an integral part of the clean up as they allow the operation of trucks and tractors that can be used to remove the rubble. By only allowing in 10% of the agreed upon amount they are deliberately obstructing the cleaning out and cleaning up process.

Women initiatives are an integral part of the Sameer Project, support: https://t.co/Vi3kOrfHPu. A simple act like providing abayas (long dresses) means so much for women in Gaza right now, especially as no clothes have entered yet and prices remain high.

On October 13th, the Sameer Project team distributed 151 abayas to the 17 Camp in Deir El Balah. Each abaya cost $44 with 11% commission so total was $6,600.

The Sameer Project would like to provide more essentials to women and start women programs to increase their agency by creating jobs or upskilling. We did this in the last ceasefire and managed to partner with a feminist grassroots organization in Gaza and trained 15 women in tatreez (stitching).

My mother was burned by the fire while cooking.
We don’t have gas for cooking, so we’re forced to use open flames.
Her health is deteriorating because of this the smoke gets into her lungs.
