Happy #InternationalMensDay 🧔♂️♂️🧍♂️
My poem 'Solitude' was published in Manthology, a collection of poetry by men from Leeds on the theme of men's mental health. You can read it here:

@FerdinandKrope1@Naturalphilosy I think that it's relatable even if you haven't read his books. If you've ever wished you didn't desire something or someone because it makes you suffer, yet you still can't help feeling that way, these words feel true.
@Naturalphilosy Indeed. In other words, you can't make yourself want to want something, even if you know it's good or right; and you can't make yourself not want what you do want, even if it's bad or wrong. All you can do is practise ascetic denial of those desires which lead to more suffering.
@JeremyVineOn5 Talking can't hurt but it isn't enough for some people, especially men. There need to be alternatives to talking therapy or medication, involving activities that bring people together to do things, for themselves and for each other, which improve self-esteem and mental health.
My opinion on Tommy Robinson is he started out with a genuine concern about Islamism and Islamist terrorism in Luton where he grew up but over time became corrupted by fame and his addiction to cocaine and began using his influence to make money fraudulently from Islam's victims.
