Also one of the most environmentally friendly golf counties in the UK. Both @Royal_Porthcawl and Pyle & Kenfig Golf Clubs have achieved the GEO Certification environment standard, ensuring courses are home to rare brown banded-carder bee and great crested newt. 🐝
A very wet day Drystone walling at Sker Farm today, but we did safely relocate two Great Created Newts. That is 30 in total now for the @dunes2dunes project.
We will remove broom and rosebay willow herb to restore the dune system to a mixture of bare sand and dune grassland. The work area has been identified as suitable for sand lizard and other reptiles found on the Special Area of Conservation (SAC). #SandsofLIFE
This bumblebee-friendly crop circle is out of this world! 👽
If you want to leave some longer patches on your lawn, consider creating an artistic feature by mowing different shapes! It's beautiful to look at & offers plenty of space and wildflowers for #bumblebees to enjoy.
Thrilled to see the Bilberry Bumblebee (Bombus monticola) named as @richardosman's "new favourite bumblebee" on @TVsPointless earlier this week - but a #pointless answer! Can you help us raise the profile of this very special #bumblebee? https://t.co/d400ESckvH

Viper's-bugloss 🌷
You can spot this plant on sand dunes with its tall spikes of vivid blue flowers, whilst its spotted stem is thought to resemble a viper.

It's #solitarybeeweek and I'm wearing stripes to help spread awareness about all the different types of solitary bee 🐝🌻
Did you know there's over 240 species of solitary #bee in the UK? #earnyourstripes @SolitaryBeeWeek
