For those asking this morning it is, and always has been, a condition of every water company's operating licence that they should not pay dividends if that payment would in any way "Impair" their ability of the company to do its job.
For how many years has that been broken?
I can’t stop thinking about the fact that instead of spending £700 million to send four volunteers to Rwanda, the government could have given £1 million to 700 schools in the most deprived areas of the UK.
Absolutely shameful.
We know the England team losing the #EURO2024 is the worst outcome for some, for others however it's the reality of waiting for their partner to come home.
Football doesn't cause #DomesticAbuse, abusers do.

My Easter reading:
"..the Lord said I was hungry and you told me to make a meal for 30p, I was thirsty and you filled my water with shit, I was a stranger and you sent me to Rwanda, I was sick and you said I should get private health insurance..."
@HuwJDavidCC Well done for your service Huw! I know how often you gave your time and energy to the Community. I wish you all the best in future ventures 👍
Christ now I've seen it all. Regulator confesses to being incompetent.
@EnvAgency & @Ofwat admit they've being lied to by WCs & legal commitments, maintaining the sewage system, have not been complied with.
What are they going to do about it? NOTHING 🤬

This is the River Misbourne, a chalk stream, one of only 225 in the entire world and @thameswater is filling it with sewage.
And the @EnvAgency does what exactly? 🤬🤬 🤬
Oh look @thameswater says "SORRY" for the 9,748,723 time; this week.
"Thames Water sorry for sewage overflow on Oxford street."
https://t.co/NER90qoN3n
"Untreated waste illegally flowed into the Shawford Lake Stream, in Hampshire," killing 2,000 fish.
Everything you need to know about @SouthernWater's business model right there, it's totally dependent on breaking the law, polluting for profit.

If you’re angry at Angela Rayner for selling her council house…
But not angry at where this non-story came from
i.e. from the billionaire Tory peer who got out of paying UK taxes by being a non-dom while sat in our House of Lords
…then you’re part of the problem.
This is how @YorkshireWater maintains its infrastructure.
Last year the High Court ruled that 60% of all sewage dumping was due to lack of investment with a further 18% due to lack of maintenance. Now you know what that looks like.
PS. None was due to 'exception circumstances'
