I’ve been working on a 12-part series titled Childlike Wonder. This series captures both the lightness and depth of childhood, as well as the emotional complexities that shape the adults we become.

i’m a trader in trade fair, balogun. we decided to hold a protest against nafdac officials who constantly come into the market, take away original goods worth millions without verification and lock our shops (that we’ll need to pay 5-10m to open). -
The Fauzah girl deserves sympathy actually, but then, if ppl choose not to accord it to her, it shouldn’t be a big deal, it should be understandable too; it’s relative.
1. If her actions were aimed at promoting things islam goes against, which i just saw on her tiktok, it should be understandable that the society trying to stick to teachings of islam dissociate itself from her, likewise, lose feeling of any remorse for her when something bad happens to her for example, now.
Again, she deserves sympathy and people should be able to differentiate her actions and actions against her without linking the two together, but if they dont, ppl do not owe sympathy to her.
2. I have an example to back up my analysis. If we go deep to understanding insecurity for example, we both would agree that bandits, terrorists, were victims of bad governance, born in poverty and brought up in it, and we’d agree that if the government had provided schools and made education accessible, provided jobs etc, they all would have been rich and educated too.
Nobody would have recruited them into banditry.
That said, ofcourse they kill people, they kidnap people and whatever, which are wrong doings, and their personal choice of living too.
But will i feel bad if anything bad happens to them? Let’s say they find themselves in a country where no one even knows who they are, and someone probably tortures them the way they used to do, or maybe not even half the way they do? No!
And even thou they are two separate events, i dont owe them sympathy as at that moment, and if other people or organizations feel bad for them i would understand too, and i’d want justice for them, just like i’d want it for others they cheated.
I hope i made a point.
Wanted to wait until we sold 100 pieces of Mila to celebrate, but this made me lose sight of the fact that we’ve already sold 10 and are now heading towards 20. 🥹
I believe we can still do 100, but regardless of that, congratulations to me and my team! 🥳❤️ xx
