I’ve dealt with my work being stolen and memecoins launching with my art for years. Recently, a vetted group with strong art-world connections offered me an allocation for a token. Though I’ve avoided memecoins in the past—and even lost money on them—I felt this one was different.

Taking the allocation came with the responsibility of being the face of the token. However, with no plans to sell, I saw the potential to push a genuine, artist-driven token that stands out from the rest. As the allocation unlocks, I’ll reinvest it to grow the token and build a long-term IP that bridges web2 and web3, focusing on provenance and authenticity.

Do people still support genuine, authentic projects in our current space, or does it no longer matter?
