@candiwrites There’s so much utter crap on this platform, but, nuggets of sense like this fill me with confidence that the world has not gone completely mad.
@SocialSoup @annkempster Can I hard agree on your hard agree @SocialSoup?
Great post @annkempster. I sense there’s an emerging divide when doing digital stuff in government; dogmatic and frustrated user-centred and agile delivery, against “how do we get around doing the standard”. Both fuel each other.
@laura_yarrow Fantastic work. Great to see the GOV Design System being used for inward facing products and services.
MoJ, DWP, HO and other departments have been doing this for years so it’s great to see some of their design system components being used in the Whitehall Publishing platform.

@NEFFHomeUK Thanks James but any tips on how to remove the lower part of the duct though? It was easy to clip it together, but it’s not as simple as following the manual backwards (I already thought of that).
A guy on my loooong train to Edinburgh is 3 cans of beer down and we have 2 hours to go. I’m feeling both disgusted and jealous at his current approach to life.
Obviously, jealousy is the main feeling.
And the 6 hour train journey to Edinburgh for #DSDay23 has begun. Send me all the positive vibes for navigating the interesting *’travel challenges’ I’m likely to experience.
*mashed potato on a seat is a new one for me @Amy_Hupe
The likelihood that GenAI will let you be more productive/strategic is directly proportional to the extent you have already taken full advantage of existing & well-known technologies to improve productivity.
Which is to say that for most companies, that number approaches zero.
